Not only do we love to welcome visitors to our slice of outdoor heaven but we’re also a small town with a connection to our heritage during the great lumbering and railroad eras in Wolverine. In fact, we celebrate those days each summer with our Lumberjack Festival, attended by folks from all over. Our Year Round Life is the Good Life

The Wolverine area of the Great Up North is an outdoor lovers paradise. We’re in the true snow belt zone of the northern Michigan with lots of lake effect snow. The lower peninsula begins to narrow here as it gets closer to the Straits of Mackinac.  So we get some awesome and beautiful snowfalls in the winter. And we know how to get around real well when we get it with a big one .Come for a visit and stay along the river. Our amazing trail system is accessible from just about anywhere. We have fabulous trails for smowmobilers and even more for the silent sports of cross country sking, snowshoeing, and winter hiking. There’s super ice fishing right by Wolverine and there’s dogsledding and winter adventure rafting on the Sturgeon River.
